VirtualBox Guest Additions - openSUSE

Step 1 - Installing Guest Additions

    From VirtualBox Manager launch openSUSE and login.

    Update openSUSE, see 

    From the Devices menu select Optical Drives and then select VBoxGuestAdditions.iso.

    Select Open with File Manager.

    

    From the list of files select autorun.sh.

    Click the Execute button.

    Enter the root password and click the OK button.

    Press the Enter key.

    Close the File Manager window.

    Select the openSUSE logo lower left  corner, hover over Leave and select Restart.

 

    When openSUSE is up and running again, from the View menu select Full-screen mode.

Step 2 - Removing the guest additions CD/DVD

    The guest additions CD/DVD can be removed from the optical drive.

    In Full-screen mode, hover with the mouse over the centre lower edge.

    Select the Devices menu.

    Select Optical Drives.

    If Remove disk from virtual drive is greyed out, no further action is required.

    If Remove disk from virtual drive is NOT greyed out, select it.

    

    Click on the Force Unmount button.
