Very important:

Make absolutely sure you use the correct drive letter before pressing the final enter. This process is irreversible.

Windows

• From the Windows Start Menu type cmd and press enter
• In the next step replace X with the drive letter of the drive to be erased.
• In the command prompt window type: cipher /w:X\
• Press enter.
